Job Opportunity in Auckland Central: IT Support Technician

Overview

A reputable organization in the IT Services industry is seeking an IT Support Technician for a 3-6 months initial contract with a possibility of extension. The role offers $50 per hour + GST and is based in Auckland Central with mandatory travel between sites.

About the Company

Our client, a prominent player in the IT Services sector, is initiating a significant project within the Retail Space and is looking to expand its exceptional team.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and troubleshooting Windows Servers, Desktops, and PCs.
• Integrating EFTPOS facilities, testing, and implementation.
• Providing support to Retail stores across Auckland.
• Assisting onsite engineers with replacement processes.
• Managing EFTPOS tasks such as installing 'Pin pad applications' and overseeing migrations.
• Supporting PC setup, replacement, imaging, and installation.
• Collaborating with network and onsite teams for smooth replacements by onsite Electricians.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT & Technology with a focus on Level 2 Support and Hardware.
• Proficiency in setting up Servers and managing EFTPOS tasks.
• Skilled in PC support, including imaging and setup.
• Experience with Wireless Access Point (WAP) and Firewall installations.
• Hold a Full NZ Driving Licence.
• Good communication skills.

Location and Benefit
