Your Role as a Traction Linesperson

As a Traction Linesperson at Queensland Rail, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead traction power equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of the rail infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in major projects like Cross River Rail and the Gold Coast Faster Rail Project.

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing overhead traction power equipment
• Implementing and coordinating traction system isolation and safety protocols
• Conducting regular inspections and testing traction power assets
• Recording and reporting on asset condition and maintenance activities
• Collaborating with team members to improve work procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead traction power equipment
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage operating procedures and safe working practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Electrical Linesperson License
• 'C' class driver's license
