Our client, one of New Zealand’s leading bakery suppliers, is seeking trainee mill hands to join their team at their Otahuhu location. Job Responsibilities

• Supporting the assistant and lead millers in daily operations
• Setting up and adjusting milling equipment for optimal production efficiency
• Running and monitoring automated PLCs
• Handling grains, meals, and brans
• Conducting in-process quality checks
• Cleaning machinery and plant processes

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role would have:

• Prior manufacturing experience, preferably in food production or engineering
• A reasonable level of physical fitness for mill operations and cleaning tasks
• Basic computer skills for email communication and other functions
• A team player mentality and flexibility for overtime work

Shift Schedule

This position requires a 2-week rotating shift schedule:

• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for two weeks
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am for the following two weeks
