BLENNZ (Blind and Low Vision Education Network NZ) is currently seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Permanent Resource Teacher Vision (RTV) 1.0 focusing on Transition Education at our Homai Campus in Manurewa, Auckland, New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate smooth transitions for learners aged 15 to 21 with visual impairments
• Empower learners in planning for life beyond school
• Support Māori learners in their educational journey
• Collaborate with parents, whānau, educators, and community stakeholders

Requirements

• Current Teacher Registration in New Zealand
• Up-to-date knowledge of the NZ Curriculum
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Competency in technology use for learning enhancement

Desirable Skills

• Experience in vision education
• Proficiency in te reo Māori
• Experience in careers and transition education
