Job Overview

As a Transport Network Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of Auckland's transport system. Your responsibilities will include supporting major events, assisting with police operations, and collaborating with engineers to optimize traffic flow at intersections. Additionally, you will monitor and respond to events on the transport network, making adjustments to the signalised traffic system as needed.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in operations, logistics, or service delivery. Experience working with strict policies and standard operating procedures is essential, as is familiarity with working on a 7-day shift pattern. While a transport management or emergency services background is desirable, it is not a requirement. Proficiency in using bespoke software and Microsoft Office applications is necessary. Knowledge of Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and Te Reo Māori is advantageous, as is an understanding of te Tiriti o Waitangi.

ATOC operates as a joint venture between Auckland Transport and the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, supporting operational plans for planned events and ensuring minimal impact on customer journeys.

The salary package for this position ranges from $71,791 to $79,524, inclusive of KiwiSaver and shift allowances.
