About the Role

The Youth Coach position is based in Auckland, working with young people aged 16 to 18 to engage in education, training, and work-based learning or employment. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of young people, conducting needs assessments, developing pathway plans, nurturing aspirations, supporting with obtaining driver's licenses, and maintaining accurate records of engagements.

Requirements

Applicants for this role should have the ability to build strong relationships, hold a clean NZ driver's license, undergo MSD and police vetting, uphold tikanga Māori, and have a passion for working with tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau. Knowledge of colonization impacts, willingness to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and a strong sense of whānau values are essential. The right candidate will have experience working positively with youth and families.
