Job requirements

- Social Work Qualification with Full Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate with the New Zealand Social Worker Registration Board - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Commitment to bi-cultural practice and culturally responsive approach - Understanding of the Oranga Tamariki Act and Youth Justice processes - Expertise in child protection and New Zealand Legislation related to child safety - Full, clean driver's license

Job responsibilities

- Work in partnership with rangatahi, their whānau, police, youth advocates, and support services - Address underlying factors contributing to offending - Provide feedback to the courts - Implement bi-cultural practice and culturally responsive approaches
