Job requirements
- Experience in a social work setting - Familiarity with advocating for clients within a social service or provider organization - Experience working with Māori tamariki / rangatahi / whānau - Knowledge of Tiriti o Waitangi and experience with tangata whenua - Strong communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work autonomously and as a team player - Eligibility to work in New Zealand and possess a current driver's license
Job responsibilities
- Building strong trusted relationships with whānau - Collaborating to establish and deliver individual and whānau wellbeing needs - Providing support through various forums - Helping set goals for whānau / tamariki / rangatahi - Mentoring and being a positive role model - Advocating on behalf of tamariki and rangatahi to various organizations
Qualifications
- Experience in a social work setting - Knowledge of Tiriti o Waitangi and working with tangata whenua - Strong problem-solving skills - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
