Join Our Team as a Theatre or Recovery Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Admitting and receiving patients before their procedures.
• Monitor patients in the post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) and provide personalized nursing interventions.
• Circulating and assisting in surgical procedures.
• Assess patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition in our smaller facility setting.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, ensuring individualized care.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care instructions tailored to their specific needs.
• Undertaking post-operative phone call checks.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation with attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with current New Zealand Nursing Council practicing certificate.
• Previous experience in a recovery or critical care setting preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High customer service skills, with compassionate and welcoming attributes.
