2IC/Senior Technical Claims - Commercial Property - Melbourne Full-time Job

As a Claims Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Manager with the claims team, overseeing workflow, and providing top-notch customer service to prestigious clients. This position entails managing complex property/ISR, strata, and motor claims, supporting the Manager, and acting as the go-to person for the broking team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Manager in overseeing the claims team and workflow
• Provide weekly reporting to the Manager
• Act as the client advocate for prestigious clients
• Manage 80-100 open claims, including disputed cases
• Support the Manager and cover during holiday periods
• Deliver outstanding customer service and strive for the best client outcomes
• Handle declinatures, disputes, IDR matters, and AFCA cases
• Investigate claim circumstances and gather necessary information
• Be a resource for the broking team, addressing claims-related inquiries

Requirements:

• Experience in property/ISR claims within an insurer, broker, or underwriting agency
• Leadership experience in a Technical Claims Specialist or 2IC role is preferred
• Client-centric approach to work
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to deliver professional service in a fast-paced setting
