Role Responsibilities

The Art Technician at St Cuthbert’s College will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the Art Faculty. Responsibilities include preparing resources for art lessons, managing art supplies, handling administrative tasks such as invoicing, and overseeing the Art Faculty shop. The role also involves providing technical support to students, maintaining equipment, cataloguing art books, and assisting with the organization of art exhibitions.

Additionally, the Art Technician will be responsible for documenting student work, photographing/scanning examination materials, and ensuring the overall functionality of the Art Faculty. This dynamic role offers a blend of part-time and full-time hours, with occasional after-school commitments for exhibitions.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for the Art Technician position should possess:

  • Interest and some work experience in the Visual Arts
  • Art-related skills, such as knowledge of Adobe Suite or photography
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Effective collaboration skills
