Join Our Adventure Therapy Team in Auckland

We are thrilled to offer an opportunity for a Clinician to join our Adventure Therapy team in Auckland. You can start either as a contractor or part-time employee from the 24th of June 2024 or as soon as possible after this date. In this role, you will work closely with the Adventure Therapy Coordinator, Facilitator, and National Manager, focusing primarily on the delivery of day-based group services in trauma recovery and adult mental health.

About the Role

The advertised role is for 16 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 30 hours for the right applicant who is willing to take on additional group programs focused on general adult wellbeing. One day per week will involve delivering 'Revive,' our Trauma-responsive Adventure Therapy program for individuals with an ACC Sensitive claim. The role also entails administrative tasks, individual support, planning, and contributing to other aspects of Adventure Specialties Trust.

Requirements

• Registration to work with ACC Sensitive claims
• Therapeutic Qualification in Psychotherapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
• Experience in delivering one-on-one and group therapeutic services
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Understanding of adventure, nature-based, or outdoor therapies
• Confidence in working with new clients and maintaining relationships
• Alignment with Adventure Specialties Trust philosophy
• Time management skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and general computer use
