The Role of a Support Worker

As a casual Support Worker at Pathways, you will experience a variety of tasks and responsibilities to cover leave for permanent Support Workers. The shifts are not fixed and can vary as needed, with opportunities available 24/7. Responsibilities include budgeting, advocacy, medication support, and assisting with daily living tasks.

Shift Options:

• Day Shifts: 7.00am - 3.30pm
• Afternoon Shifts: 3.00pm - 11.30pm
• Night Shifts: 11.00pm - 7.30am

Requirements

To qualify for the position, applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you can start studying towards this certificate within six months of employment and complete it within two years. Additionally, candidates must be flexible, hold a full driver's license, and have a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
