About the Role

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora, Counties Manukau is seeking an analyst to join the Patient Safety and Quality Assurance team. This role involves measuring and monitoring quality and patient safety within the Directorate of Nursing and Patient Whaanau Experience at Middlemore Hospital. As an analyst, you will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement in healthcare processes through data measurement, synthesis, and reporting.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate should have a background in data analytics and reporting, with a preference for previous experience in the health sector or quality/patient safety. Key qualifications and skills include a Bachelor's degree in quantitative, business, or health-related fields, understanding of data management systems, proficiency in Advanced Excel and SAS, and knowledge of SQL and dashboard development tools like Qlik Sense. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management skills, personal integrity, and a proactive attitude.
