Job Description

The University of Auckland is offering an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Communications and Marketing Adviser to join their Science Communications and Marketing team. This role will involve creating and curating content for various platforms to enhance the profile of the Ngā Ara Whetū research centre.

Responsibilities

  • Writing, editing, and curating high-quality content for print, digital, and multimedia channels
  • Managing web content using WordPress
  • Utilizing social media to promote the research center
  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating on article writing and submissions
  • Assisting with live events and promotions
  • Monitoring news relevant to the research center
  • Providing subject matter expertise for content decisions

About the Team

The Marketing and Communications team at The University of Auckland is supportive and stimulating. The successful candidate will work closely with the Faculty’s Marketing and Communication team and report to the Directors of Ngā Ara Whetu for day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with strong writing skills
  • Experience in web content management and marketing activities
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools and SEO
  • Ability to work in complex environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
