Key points:

- Role: Community Engagement & Project Lead - Salary range: $60,000 - $69,000 per annum - Employment Type: Permanent full-time position - Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible working arrangements - Reporting to: General Manager - Relationships: BSNZ members, BLENNZ, Blind Low Vision NZ, NSO’s, NDSO’s, RSOs, Parafeds

Job requirements:

- Passionate, hardworking, and self-directed - Experience in disability sport sector is beneficial - Ability to work both in the office and remotely - Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

Job responsibilities:

- Relationship management - Program development and coordination - Capacity building - Advocacy and awareness - Project management - Community engagement - Monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of New Zealand disability sport and wider sport sector - Understanding of challenges faced by individuals with disabilities - Experience in community engagement roles

Skills:

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills - Passion for promoting inclusion, accessibility, and diversity - Excellent communication skills - Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently - Proficiency in digital tools and creating accessible content
