The Role of Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Glenfield, Auckland industrial bakery. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role involves optimizing equipment performance, ensuring safety, and driving efficiency within the manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include managing processes, preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and driving continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Electrical trade certificate
• Sound electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Basic computer skills including Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Basic refrigeration knowledge
• Competency in using Allen-Bradley products and following electrical schematic drawings
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• Experience in FMCG/food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Effective communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the role
