Our theatre, located at Corban Estate Arts Centre in West Auckland, is dedicated to showcasing contemporary Māori theatre, dance, and comedy. We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Front of House team and ensure exceptional experiences for our audiences.
What We Are Looking For
We are searching for a Front of House & Event Manager who is:
- An all-rounder with management experience in food and bar service, events, and hospitality sales.
- Passionate about providing top-quality manaakitanga (hospitality) to our guests.
- A skilled people manager and team leader.
- Highly organized with excellent planning abilities.
- Creative and eager to enhance our Front of House services.
Job Details
The role is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week, averaging 30 hours. Responsibilities include:
- Event planning and coordination.
- Managing Front of House staff.
- Overseeing food and beverage service.
- Menu development and compliance.
- Reporting and analyzing sales revenue.
Requirements
As an ideal candidate, you should have:
- Current LCQ and/or Bar Manager's License.
- Demonstrated leadership and event management skills.
- Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of reo Māori and tikanga Māori.
- Excellent customer service abilities.
