This part-time, flexible role based in Auckland involves championing youth mentoring program delivery, fundraising, and innovation. As the front-facing advocate, you will report directly to the Board and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of youth mentoring in New Zealand.

About Intentional Youth Mentoring

Intentional Youth Mentoring is a transformative approach that aims to positively impact the lives of young individuals, known as taiohi. The organization is affiliated with the New Zealand Youth Mentoring Network (NZYMN), which serves as the central hub for the youth mentoring sector in the country. With a focus on values such as Manaakitanga, Mātauranga, Tautua, Grounded, and Collective Impact, the organization is committed to upholding the mana of others and fostering knowledge and cultural understanding.

Role Responsibilities

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various projects, including workshops, resource development, and evaluation work. Your role involves serving as the public face of intentional youth mentoring, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing the overall youth mentoring sector. Fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, and identifying opportunities for innovation will be key components of the role. You will lead a small team of contractors and work closely with the Board of Trustees to drive the organization's mission forward.

  • Strong credibility in the field of youth mentoring

Location and Hours
