Job Opportunity: Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist at Moana New Zealand
About the Role
Moana New Zealand is looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist to join their team in Mt Wellington. Reporting to the Group Safety & Wellbeing Manager, the primary focus of this newly created role is to shape, champion, and embed effective and bespoke health and safety processes within the organization. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, developing training programs, and implementing robust governance and compliance systems to drive continual improvement in performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and partner with managers, team leaders, and supervisors on health and safety matters - Contribute to the enhancement of HSW management systems in line with industry standards - Develop and deliver Health, Safety & Wellbeing workplans and training programs - Lead Group Wellbeing Programmes and manage safety management systems - Conduct reviews of standard operating procedures and H&S documentation - Assist with hazard audits, incident reviews, and critical risk management - Deliver employee training programs and inductions - Provide regular reporting on performance outcomes and achievements against targets
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have: - Minimum of 12-18 months of health and safety experience - Enthusiasm for driving continual improvement - Strong collaboration and multitasking skills - Ability to build trusted relationships and credibility with stakeholders - Process-driven mindset with a keen interest in learning and development
