Overview

This job opportunity is for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a Developer/Commercial Builder specializing in multi-unit residential and low-rise apartment projects in New Zealand. Role Description

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the Quantity Surveying team with responsibilities in both Estimating and Contracts Administration. They will be involved in procurement, subcontractor management, tendering, cost reporting, and project coordination. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the candidate will have opportunities for long-term career growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement and administration of subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiating contract terms and preparing trade packages for tender
• Producing tender analysis, progress reports, and cost reports
• Take off measurements and quantities for design/drawings
• Project coordination and sequencing of trades

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in commercial projects up to $30M, hold a Bachelor of Construction Management in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, possess strong negotiating skills, and demonstrate enthusiasm, drive, and excellent communication abilities.
