About the Role

The Fixed Interest Analyst position at QuayStreet involves conducting in-depth research to identify risks and opportunities in the New Zealand and Australian fixed income markets. The role will focus on fixed income strategies, contributing to research, analysis, and the overall investment process. Responsibilities include specific fixed interest and security analysis, generating new ideas to enhance portfolio returns, interacting with dealers for investment insights, and supporting portfolio management duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct specific fixed interest and security analysis

  • Interact with dealers for investment insights

Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates for this role are expected to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing or dealing in NZ fixed income markets
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the investment industry
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Relevant certification such as CFA or post-graduate equivalent (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use technology for research, idea generation, and investment processes automation
