This unique opportunity at the Public Defence Service (PDS) Appeals Team offers the chance to work on serious criminal cases in New Zealand's highest Courts. Join our talented team for expert support and mentoring, along with access to a national training program.

Responsibilities:

• Legal research
• Review case materials
• Write opinions
• Draft submissions
• Participate in client interviews with a senior lawyer

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified to practice law in New Zealand
• Excellent legal writing skills and attention to detail
• Passion for research and analytical thinking
• Team player with empathy and ability to relate to diverse individuals

Salary:

Starting salary: $65,015 - $83,498 (based on skills and experience)
