If so, this opportunity as a Kaiarahi Family Court Navigator based in Manukau may be the perfect fit for you.

Role Overview

As a Kaiarahi, you will play a vital role in engaging with communities, collaborating with local iwi, service providers, and agencies to ensure accurate information is communicated to families and the court. Your responsibilities will include building relationships between communities and the Justice system, facilitating access to justice, and supporting the implementation of new services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with local iwi, service providers, and community groups
  • Facilitate access to justice for participants and the court
  • Travel within the community and across regions to provide consistent support
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet community needs

Skills and Experience

We are looking for individuals who reflect the diverse communities we serve and can effectively assist in honoring our commitment to the people of Aotearoa. Key skills and experience for this role include:

  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Experience working with Whanau, Hapu, and Iwi
  • Understanding of cultural issues, particularly Tikanga Maori
  • Technical knowledge of Family and District Courts (advantageous)
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively

Salary and Application

The salary for this role ranges from $83,562 to $116,273 based on skills and experience.
