The Anglican Trust for Women & Children (ATWC) and Te Whare Ruruhau o Meri Trust have joined hands to bring forth an exciting new working collaboration. On the other hand, Te Whare Ruruhau o Meri Trust, founded in 1992, focuses on supporting whānau dealing with urban living challenges and adversity, with offices in Manukau and Kaitaia, offering indigenous social services through the 'te kawa o te marae' model.

About the Role

The Kia Ora Ake Kaimanaaki position is part of the Kia Ora Ake program, a mental wellbeing initiative for primary and intermediate school-aged children in Counties Manukau. This non-clinical role involves establishing and nurturing relationships with primary schools and communities, assessing and addressing the mental wellbeing needs of children and families, and supporting the implementation of various wellbeing programs at school and individual levels. The role is based in the Franklin area, operating from the Te Whare Ruruhau o Meri Trust offices in Manukau.

About You

For this position, we seek individuals who are passionate about the mental wellbeing of children and families. The desired attributes include a Level 4 or higher NZQA qualification in health, social, or education, experience working with children and families, eagerness for continuous learning in mental wellbeing, familiarity with or willingness to learn about the community, school environment experience, solution-focused mindset, creativity, compassion, and value for Whakawhanaugatanga.
