As a People & Capability Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the HR function to ensure the successful operation of our Corrections Facility contract. Your responsibilities will include implementing HR priorities, policies, and compliance with New Zealand legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership and Management

Lead the day-to-day HR requirements at the facility, providing leadership and direction to all people leaders.

Policy Implementation and Compliance

Support the implementation of HR priorities and policies to ensure compliance with Serco's global standards and local requirements.

Recruitment and Induction

Oversee recruitment processes and conduct on-site inductions for new non-custodial employees.

Performance and Development

Manage the annual performance review process and coordinate development plans for employees.

Industrial and Employment Relations

Serve as the primary contact for interpreting the Collective Employment Agreement and New Zealand employment legislation.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should have: - A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Commerce, or Psychology - Proven experience in an HR Manager role within a unionised environment - Strong understanding of New Zealand employment law and industrial relations - Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and analytical skills
