- Lead the public experience at Cornwall Park through Huia Lodge Discovery Hub - Strategic and hands-on management role for one of Aotearoa NZ’s most loved parks

Job Responsibilities

- Manage Huia Lodge Discovery Hub to enhance public engagement and raise the Park’s profile - Oversee and deliver strategic planning initiatives - Develop and deliver a diverse programme of activations, events, displays, education, and outreach - Lead and support a small team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture - Build strong relationships with stakeholders - Coordinate public communications and contribute to social media engagement - Monitor and evaluate visitor experiences to inform future developments - Ensure health and safety standards are met

Qualifications

- A tertiary qualification in events, visitor experience, tourism, or a related field - 5+ years’ experience in events, placemaking, education tourism, or visitor engagement - Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a team

Skills

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - Creative vision and the ability to bring stakeholders along to deliver engaging experiences - Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail - A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery - Passion for working with diverse communities and an interest in natural environments - Some knowledge of te ao Māori would be an advantage
