The clinic is currently implementing the Ezyvet software system and installing an Idexx in-house laboratory, which includes Procyte, Catalyst, and Sedivue. Additional upgrades such as an IM3 dental suite and digital x-ray are planned in the coming months, with a new sterile surgery suite expected by the end of the clinic's first year under the new ownership. The clinic also has a history of supporting both conventional medicine and alternative therapies.

Position Available: Veterinary Nurse

Henderson Veterinary Clinic is seeking a superstar vet nurse to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should have a vet nursing qualification and a can-do attitude. While previous experience is not essential, an open mind and willingness to learn are highly valued. The role will primarily involve supporting the veterinarians with consultations and reception duties initially, with opportunities to take on more responsibilities as the clinic expands its services.

Key Responsibilities

- Supporting veterinarians with consults and reception duties - Monitoring anesthesia and managing surgical patients - Performing blood draws, IV catheter placement, scale and polish procedures - Conducting nurse consults - Assisting in integrating new equipment and software - Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills - Exhibiting strong time management and personal responsibility

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should possess: - A vet nursing qualification - A can-do attitude and willingness to learn - Strong team player skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Tech-savviness is a bonus - Ability to handle anesthesia monitoring and surgical patient care - Demonstrated competency in blood draws, IV catheter placement, and scale and polish procedures

Compensation and Benefits

The remuneration for this position will be based on experience, with a minimum starting wage of $27.80 per hour (living wage).
