Overview:

Join a reputable food manufacturer in Mount Wellington, New Zealand, with over 30 years of experience in providing quality food products. They are seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to maintain and enhance quality and food compliance systems and processes at their Mt Wellington site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and lead internal audit program
• Maintain supplier approval system and conduct supplier audits
• Lead trainer for food safety and quality systems
• Maintain quality systems documentation
• Manage compliance elements of quality assurance and control
• Liaise with customer quality system
• Create product specifications and labeling
• Review customer inquiries and complaints
• Ensure health and safety obligations are met

Qualifications and Experience:

• Outgoing with excellent communication skills
• Ideally have a food science or related tertiary education
• Previous experience in a senior quality role
• Familiarity with HACCP procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of GMP standards
