Exciting Opportunity for a Release/Cut-Over Manager

Our client, a leading organization in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a talented Release/Cut-Over Manager to join their dynamic team on a 6-12 month contract with flexible working hours.

Role Overview

As the Release/Cut-Over Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth transitions to new IT systems. Your responsibilities will include developing detailed cut-over plans, coordinating migration activities, and obtaining necessary approvals to meet organizational standards. Collaboration with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders will be key to mitigating risks, resolving issues, and maintaining effective communication throughout the cut-over process and hyper-care phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cut-over plans based on project scope
• Prepare and execute run sheets for migration activities
• Coordinate with teams to align cut-over activities with project timelines
• Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues impacting cut-over activities
• Facilitate communication across all organizational levels regarding cut-over plans
• Manage hyper-care post-transition, prioritizing and resolving issues promptly

Essential Skills and Experience

To excel in this role, you should have a background in transitioning HR solutions, IT project management experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach. An understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and the software development life cycle is crucial. The ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing environments will also be advantageous.

Desirable Skills

Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in Banking or Insurance, along with knowledge of integration patterns and transitioning to new solutions, will be beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

While not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in Engineering/Technology and/or Business/Commerce will be desirable for candidates applying for this position.
