Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) Specialist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate should have 3-5+ years of extensive experience in DFIR, with a proven track record of responding to various security incidents like BECs, ransomware, malware, and insider threats, preferably in large and complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to security incidents proficiently using Incident Response (IR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and forensic tooling.
  • Provide technical leadership and guide analysts through security incidents, especially in a lead role.
  • Collaborate effectively with Cyber Insurers, Legal Counsels, and C-Suite stakeholders when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess industry-recognized IR qualifications or relevant certifications.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the investigation lifecycle and proficiency in all phases.
  • Display a natural investigative mindset and adeptly manage investigative tasks during incidents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of DFIR customers.
  • Desirable: Knowledge in scripting/programming and cybersecurity, including understanding common attack scenarios and evolving threats.

Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a NZ Government National Security clearance (TS/TSS). Advantageous if you are a New Zealand Citizen or from a Five Eyes country.
