Job Description

Position: Senior Legal Counsel – ER

Type: Permanent role

Location: Auckland CBD

We are offering a fantastic permanent position for a skilled lawyer with a background in private sector or in-house counsel, particularly focusing on Employment Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) experience. In this role, you will be the go-to expert providing ER and IR guidance to People Leaders and the wider P&C Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on employment law and industrial relations
• Assess and manage legal risk related to ER matters
• Support the ER team
• Mentor and coach the broader P&C team
• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders
• Drive process efficiencies
• Support various projects

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of NZ employment law
• LLB qualification
• Senior level expertise in private legal practice or in-house role
• Current Practising Certificate or ability to obtain one
• Strong knowledge in employment law and industrial relations
• Excellent communication skills
