Job Title: Senior Technologist / MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist)
Location: Auckland CBD
Salary: $80,900 - $99,900 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (up to 36 months)

Job Description:
- Provide expert input into the development and integration of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ISO15189 standards.
- Operate and manage genomics laboratory equipment, ensuring protocols and lab manuals meet required standards.
- Oversee the integration of a project management system for complex genomic projects and equipment like high throughput NGS sequencers.
- Provide specialist training and advice for research functions, supporting data collection, interpretation, and management.
- Lead the development of equipment inventory and capability, contributing to capex proposals and business cases.
- Provide input to research project planning, co-developing experimental designs with academic stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Scientist in Molecular Genetics
- At least 4 years' experience in molecular genetics post-graduation
- Experience with high-end genomic equipment and data analysis
- Proficiency in NGS work with DNA & RNA
- Advanced skills in molecular biology and related databases
- Understanding of Health and Safety best practices
