## Job Description

Vaka Tautua is seeking an experienced social worker with a passion for supporting Pacific peoples to join their team. The successful candidate will work with the Social Work Team leader and a pool of Social Workers within a mobile team across the Auckland region. The role involves using culturally appropriate protocols and frameworks to support Pacific service users/clients with high and ongoing support needs, aiming to strengthen independent living for those accessing Vaka Tautua's services.

## Responsibilities

- Provide support to service users with high support needs - Work towards uplifting service users to live independently with positive outcomes - Collaborate with the Social Work Team leader and fellow Social Workers - Champion local clinical governance mechanisms on behalf of Vaka Tautua - Lead high needs or complex cases within the community

## Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Pacific culture - Tertiary qualification in social work - Professional certification and registration in accordance with registration board requirements - Knowledge of social services and social work issues - Ability to work collaboratively with other services - Clean, full NZ Driver License - Strong communication skills in English and one or more Pacific languages - Eligibility to work in New Zealand - Clean police record
