Job Opportunity: Clinical Support Specialist for Brain Injury and PTSD

Join a Supportive Team

Are you a health professional passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with traumatic brain injuries and complex PTSD? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our engaged team in providing 24-hour support and care to a client in a southern suburb of Auckland.

Varied Responsibilities

The role involves assisting the client with daily activities and tasks in her own home, supporting her to live a fulfilling life post-injury. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a practice-based environment with minimal administrative tasks.

Rewarding Compensation

With rates ranging from $44 to $66 per hour, this role offers higher-than-average remuneration to reflect the complexities of providing clinical support to individuals with brain injury related challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Health Professionals or post-graduate students with experience in social work, counseling, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychotherapy, etc.
  • Experience with traumatic brain injuries and/or trauma/PTSD is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, compassionate nature, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be 25 years of age or above with a full clean driver's license.
  • NZ residency or a valid work visa required.

Flexible Shifts

The role offers full-time, part-time, and fixed casual work with 12-hour shifts and weekend/weekday options. Successful candidates must be willing to work up to 3 shifts a week, including weekends and public holidays if needed.

Comprehensive Training

Full training, induction, and orientation will be provided to the successful candidate, making it an excellent opportunity for post-graduate students looking to expand their skills in this area.
