Opportunity Overview

The University is looking for a Strategic Asset Manager to help align strategic objectives with asset management strategies. Reporting to the Associate Director – Facilities, the role involves providing strategic advice on asset management across key portfolios. The ideal candidate will have the experience to inspire stakeholders and ensure a safe and secure environment for the University community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the integrated Asset Management Team
  • Develop and review strategic asset management documents
  • Conduct Asset Risk Assessments
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage Emergency Response and Contract Management

About the Team

Join one of Auckland's largest property teams with an extensive portfolio of over 200 buildings. As part of the facilities team, you will contribute to maintaining top-notch environments for students and staff.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in management, engineering, architecture, or property
  • Knowledge of asset management best practices such as ISO55001
  • Strong communication and Excel skills
  • Experience in engaging with consultants and contractors
  • Previous experience in property, research, and digital asset management
