Location and Hours:
We are currently looking for Education Support Workers to work in the Papakura and Manurewa areas. This role offers the flexibility of working only during school terms and school hours, with a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 24 hours per week.
Role Overview:
As an Education Support Worker, you will be a crucial part of our region's Learning Support team. Your responsibilities will include providing effective support to children and young people in achieving their educational goals. This involves working closely with teaching teams, implementing planned learning strategies, and participating in professional development opportunities. The salary ranges from $24.83 to $38.77 per hour, along with a 3% KiwiSaver contribution.
Requirements:
Successful candidates should have experience working with pre-schoolers or children with additional learning needs. Excellent communication skills, an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and the ability to work during school hours are essential. A full driver's license and New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency are also required.
About the Team:
The Learning Support team plays a vital role in supporting children with additional learning needs to reach their full potential through education. They collaborate with families, schools, and caregivers to enhance learning outcomes and promote inclusion in both English and Māori medium settings in the Manurewa area.
