Job Description Overview
Auckland Transport is seeking a Sustainability Engagement Specialist to support the implementation of their Sustainable Procurement Action Plan. Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of Auckland Transport's Sustainable Procurement Action Plan
- Reviewing and enhancing sustainability elements in procurement templates and contracts
- Advising on tender documentation to evaluate suppliers based on sustainability criteria
- Contributing to ethical sourcing and due diligence activities
- Integrating sustainability into the procurement capability framework
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in environmental, sustainability, or social sciences, knowledge of the infrastructure industry, and familiarity with sustainability practices. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional membership is required, with a post-graduate qualification being a plus.
