About the Role

As a Level 2 Engineering Support professional, you will play a crucial role in providing reactive support and project assistance in an MSP environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of IT experience, with specific proficiency in MSP environments for 2-3 years. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with clients and colleagues at various technical levels to drive continual improvement in processes and standards, ensuring a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Minimizing business risk through compliance with legislation and internal policies
• Effective communication with business partners to support applications and ICT initiatives
• Identifying and translating innovative ideas into valuable business opportunities
• Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills to influence others
• Promoting teamwork within the organization

Essential Skills

To excel in this position, the following skills are essential:

• 3-4 years of IT experience, including hands-on T2 support
• 2-3 years of MSP experience
• Proficiency in M365 technologies
• Good working knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, iOS, and Android
• Experience with Microsoft servers, specifically MS Windows servers (2012, 2016, 2019)
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and/or VMware
• Experience with PSA ticketing systems (Autotask preferred)
• Proficiency in RMM systems (NinjaOne preferred)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts
• Experience with Active Directory (AD, Azure AD)

Special Role Requirements

In addition to the technical skills, the role requires:

• Full NZ driver's license for on-site activities
• Availability for on-call duties one weekend per month
• Flexibility to provide after-hours support when needed
