About the Role

As a Veterinarian at New Zealand Food Safety Verification Services, you will be responsible for providing food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity verification and certification services at meat exporting plants. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining animal welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders - Verify compliance with procedures - Provide certification for animal meat exports - Conduct inspections and assessments - Ensure animal welfare standards - Participate in on-farm verifications

Requirements

The ideal candidate should: - Be a registered Veterinarian in New Zealand - Hold a full NZ driver's license - Possess strong communication and analytical skills - Demonstrate integrity and teamwork - Have computer literacy

Training and Support

If you are not warranted under the Animal Product Act, there will be comprehensive technical training provided. Ongoing mentoring, on-site training, and support will be available to help you excel in your role.
