Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Officer
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the AP function within the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and entering invoices accurately
- Scheduling and making timely payments
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance and preparing reports
- Maintaining positive supplier relationships and resolving issues
- Supporting the wider finance team as needed
Qualifications and Skills Required
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A strong accounts background, specifically in end-to-end / sole charge AP
- The ability to quickly adapt to processes and ensure the smooth operation of BAU
- High attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Immediate availability with NZ working rights
