Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Officer

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the AP function within the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing and entering invoices accurately
• Scheduling and making timely payments
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Ensuring compliance and preparing reports
• Maintaining positive supplier relationships and resolving issues
• Supporting the wider finance team as needed

Qualifications and Skills Required

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A strong accounts background, specifically in end-to-end / sole charge AP
• The ability to quickly adapt to processes and ensure the smooth operation of BAU
• High attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and excellent communication skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Immediate availability with NZ working rights
