We are looking for a dedicated Assurance Advisor to join our Risk Office team and contribute to the continuous improvement of the University’s assurance programme.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Assurance Advisor
  • Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed term
  • Location: Auckland CBD
  • Salary: $80,900 - $86,600 per annum

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise in various areas including internal audit, fraud prevention, and performance reporting. Your key activities will include:

  • Developing and delivering the annual Internal Audit programme
  • Designing and implementing the Unusual Transaction Analysis programme
  • Facilitating the Fraud Prevention and Detection programme
  • Preparing Assurance reports for the Audit and Risk Committee

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, a tertiary qualification, and a finance background. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, exceptional communication skills, and stakeholder management abilities are essential for this role.
