The Opportunity
Auckland Zoo is on a mission to bring people together to build a future for wildlife. As a Conservation Learning Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in delivering conservation advocacy and engagement programs and events that drive impactful outcomes. This dynamic part-time role involves working closely with a team of passionate individuals and may require evening and weekend work to support the conservation learning portfolio.
About You
If you are deeply passionate about wildlife, enjoy engaging with diverse audiences on environmental issues, and have experience in education or conservation, this role is perfect for you. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications and Experience
The role requires a degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with proven knowledge in educational curricula and teaching. Experience in delivering conservation education programs, developing learning activities, and utilizing pedagogical techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and Maori environmental principles is also preferred.
