Join the Renewable Energy Sector as a Construction Manager in Christchurch Central

About the Opportunity:

Are you looking to kickstart your career in the renewable energy sector? Our client, a leading electrical contractor specializing in large commercial and renewable energy projects, is seeking a Construction Manager for a 5-month fixed-term project to oversee the construction of a 7MW solar farm in Ashburton.

Your Role:

As the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, organizing, and monitoring electrical site activities to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget. Your duties will include overseeing the construction project, promoting and maintaining health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with design and safety regulations, and providing regular updates to clients.

What You Need:

To be successful in this role, you must have an electrical trades qualification/background with a valid EWRB practicing license. Experience in site management on power plant or industrial projects is essential. You should also have excellent communication skills, be resilient and tenacious, and have a strong work ethic. Previous experience as a Site/Construction Manager on a solar power plant project will be advantageous.
