Position: Senior Civil Estimator

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Civil Estimator to join one of New Zealand's largest infrastructure construction companies. The company specializes in infrastructure construction, focusing on projects such as Bridges, Wharves, Water Treatment Plants, and Pipelines. They are looking for an experienced individual to assist with the increase in projects around the North Island.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 and includes life and medical insurance. This competitive compensation package is a reflection of the company's commitment to attracting top talent and rewarding employees for their contributions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the management of tenders and business development
• Estimate costs of projects after researching and compiling relevant details
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to make adjustments to cost estimates
• Contribute to estimating policies and systems
• Determine the scope of work and project estimate contents

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should:

• Have at least 5 years of NZ experience as a civil estimator
• Be proficient in electronic tendering systems such as CCs candy or similar
• Demonstrate the ability to prepare quantity takeoffs accurately and efficiently
• Be able to work on multiple tenders and liaise with clients
• Show initiative, be self-managed, and have strong problem-solving skills
• Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
