Golf Operations Manager Full-time Job

Introduction

Akarana Golf Club is in search of a highly skilled Golf Operations Manager to join their team. With a reputation for being the friendly Club, Akarana offers both members and visitors a welcoming golfing experience. The ideal candidate will report directly to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in managing and promoting all golf services at Akarana.

Responsibilities

• Manage all golf operations at the Club to ensure a top-notch experience for members, sponsors, and guests.
• Oversee tee bookings, driving range, practice facilities, and the pro shop.
• Lead the golf operations team and maintain relationships with Club partners.
• Promote and execute golf programs, particularly focusing on junior golf development.
• Develop relationships with sponsors and corporates through marketing and promotional activities.
• Handle the golf operations budget to maximize revenue and identify growth opportunities.
• Support the General Manager and other senior staff as needed.

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the golf industry.
• Demonstrated competence in managing competitions and events.
• Experience in team leadership, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Excellent communication skills across various platforms, including social media.
• Familiarity with Vend POS, Dot Golf, and Xero is advantageous.
• Strong financial management abilities and knowledge of health and safety standards.

• Confident in public speaking and representing the Club.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
• Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude towards changing priorities.
