Are you a seasoned Health and Safety professional looking for a challenging role in a large and complex organization? An exciting opportunity awaits for a Head of Health & Safety on a Fixed Term contract basis in Auckland CBD.

Your Responsibilities

  • Fostering a strong Health and Safety Culture within the organization
  • Leading the development and implementation of Health and Safety strategy and business plans
  • Providing day-to-day management of Health and Safety operations
  • Managing a team of two direct reports
  • Overseeing budget management for Health and Safety initiatives
  • Collaborating with executive leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Developing and implementing people-centered processes for Health and Safety
  • Ensuring the team provides clear technical and legally compliant advice
  • Conducting reviews and preparing reports for the Board

Your Experience

If you have the following qualifications and experience, we want to hear from you:

  • Relevant qualification in Health and Safety
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in management roles to the senior level
  • Demonstrated practical experience in Health and Safety management
  • Expertise in Policy Development, Accident Investigation, Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control, Contract Management, and Rehabilitation and Wellness programs
