If you are a seasoned Information Security professional looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, Auckland Council has the perfect role for you. As the Information Security Manager, you will lead the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) specialists within the CISO office, overseeing the development and maintenance of Information Security Policy, ICT Risk Register, and Security Awareness program.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop GRC specialists
• Formulate and maintain Information Security Policy
• Manage ICT Risk Register
• Coordinate Security Awareness program
• Support Security Consultants and Architects
• Supervise Forensics function

About You

The ideal candidate should possess a strong leadership background with expertise in Governance, Information Security, Compliance, and Risk Management. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for this role. You should have tertiary-level qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant industry certifications. Additionally, a minimum of 10 years of Information Security experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role, is required.
