An exciting opportunity has arisen within the New Zealand Aid Programme for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead the construction of a new Parliament facility in Nuku'alofa, Tonga. The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing all elements of the project while ensuring effective delivery of infrastructure and asset management projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Utilize MFAT business processes for project management, covering initiation, establishment, contract management, closure, and adaptive management of project delivery plans.
  • Procurement: Participate in tender evaluation panels and provide technical advice during contract negotiations.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain stakeholder relationships, provide progress reporting to relevant parties, and work with various divisions to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification with a minimum of 7 years' experience in related fields.
  • Experience in project and contract management, sound planning, and organizing skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in the Pacific region and international development-related fields.
