Summerset, one of the leading retirement village operators in New Zealand, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Memory Care Lead for their brand-new Memory Care Centre at St Johns. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide quality care and leadership to residents living with Dementia, ensuring they receive the best of life care.

Role Overview

As the Memory Care Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 8 staff and 19 residents at the Memory Care Centre. Your main duties will include providing clinical guidance, fostering a learning environment, and ensuring best practice interventions for residents with Level 3 Dementia Care.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Memory Care Centre team to deliver exceptional care to residents. - Utilize your expertise in Dementia care to provide clinical guidance and ensure best practices. - Create a supportive environment for ongoing learning and development with researched interventions. - Coach and develop the team to deliver person-centered care. - Build a network of local community services focused on memory care and aged care.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need: - A Bachelor of Health/Nursing Science or equivalent qualification. - Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with Dementia in aged care or community settings. - Strong understanding of proactive support for resident's well-being. - Ability to coach and develop a team for delivering quality care. - Knowledge of local community services related to memory care and aged care.
